-[[김준태|Kim Jun-tae]] (1948-) is a poet and democratization activist. Born in Haenam, he studied at [[조선대학교|Chosun University]] in Gwangju. Following the [[5.18민주화운동|May 18 Democratic Uprising]], he wrote the first poem about the event, [[아아_광주여!_우리나라의_십자가여!|"Gwangju, Cross of Our Nation"]] which was published in the [[구 전남매일신문|Chonnam Daily]]. The poem, which mentions key places in Gwangju, such as [[무등산|Mudeungsan Mountain]], [[금남로|Geumnam-ro Street]], and [[충장로|Chungchang-ro Street]],  resulted in the newspaper being shut down and Kim being laid off from his job as a teacher at [[전남고등학교 |Chonnam High School]]. He also wrote the poem [[광주에_바치는_노래|"A Song Dedicated to Gwangju"]] about the uprising.
